Instagram Launches New Stories Feature

Instagram has launched a new feature which allows businesses to add gift cards and order food stamps directly to their stories.

instagram_launches_new_stories_feature
Instagram has recently launched new features to the story section of the app.

If you have a business page, you will notice new ‘stamps’. These new stamps allow for gift cards and to order food directly through Instagram.
An exciting feature for food-based businesses, especially with the current circumstances and restrictions due to COVID-19.

When choosing which stamp to use, the order food stamp allows you to choose from Uber Eats, Deliveroo or DoorDash.

If the stamps aren’t available on your phone, I would first check to see if the app has been recently updated. If it has and they are still unavailable. Make sure to check your page is set up as a business page and linked to your Facebook account.
It also seems that the features are only available to businesses within certain industries.

The gift cards stamp could be an interesting tool to use when brands are looking to work with influencers.

With food-based businesses often finding it difficult to convert social media traffic to paying customers. Will this help bridge the gap? Only time will tell!

What are the best entrepreneur hashtags to use and how can you start growing your page engagement today?

best_entrepreneur_hashtags
Looking for hashtags to use on your business account?
What are the best entrepreneur and business hashtags to help grow your page and have more chance of getting higher engagement?

One of the easiest ways to do this is inside the Instagram app itself.
Simply look at the accounts that are in your industry. That have a similar audience to what you would like to target.

Then just go through their posts to see what hashtags they use.

Another way is to look up a hashtag you would like to target such as #entrepreneur. Then looking at the related hashtags below.

A good strategy when using hashtags is to use a variety of both very popular and then not so popular hashtags. For example use one or two hashtags with millions of results, then use a few hashtags with 100’s of thousand of results and then use another few with only a few hundred results.

What’s the best way to find unpopular hashtags?
Try to go more specific. Rather than searching #entrepreneur, instead search for something like #smallbusinessownersrock which only has 4,297 results. You can then go even more specific to get less results.

This gives you more chance of appearing higher for these hashtags and having your posts appear to new users.

The chances of your post appearing in the ‘top posts’ for a search result with millions of results is much less likely than a hashtag with only a few thousand.

Just make sure your post is related to the hashtags you are posting. If you’re hashtag is related to cats and your posting about shoes, very few users will engage with your post when searching that hashtag. Instagram will pick up on this and push your post down their hashtag search.
Now it might seem a little overwhelming at first and a little time consuming, however once you create a list of hashtags you can re-use these on relevant posts. Just make sure to switch them around a little and take a few out and add a few new ones each time. Posting the exact same hashtags everytime might not sit well with Instagram’s algorithim

how_to_become_a_marketing_manager

Creating a niche for yourself in the marketing domain is not a Herculean task when you are aware of the know-how. The question of how to become a marketing manageris very common amongst those who are planning to create a career for themselves in marketing. Depending on one’s potential and sometimes, the degrees they possess, one can straight away become a marketing manager. Otherwise, they have to earn relevant experience and then climb the ladder. A brief explanation of the nitty-gritty of marketing management is provided below.

Marketing manager-Definition

The Marketing managers are the personnel who analyze the current trends in the market, demand for particular goods/services, and then devise a strategy for selling their goods/services. They collaborate with staff from the various departments of the organization like sales, finance, and advertising to frame a successful strategy.

The marketing manager encompasses a whole lot of duties. Based on the strategy devised by the manager, lies the success/failure of the organization. It is no exaggeration to call the marketing manager the blood and bone of a company.

How to create a career for yourself in marketing and eventually become a marketing manager?

Getting a degree is the most taken route but make sure that the syllabus is framed according to the current industry standards. There are a lot of marketing courses which aren’t related to the current trends and learning those old and redundant marketing techniques while modern practices are in use is not going to help.

While you are pursuing your degree in marketing, start applying for internships in some good organization where the learning curve is too high. It is generally preferred to work for a startup that focuses on the current products which are in demand in the market. Only this will help you grab a job in a much easier manner. You can also choose to apply the concepts you had learned in your degree in your area of interest when it comes to the marketing domain.

It is also best to start volunteering for the not for profit organization. This is the best choice if you are not really confident and still wish to make a career for yourself in this field. There are no stringent deadlines to meet and you can learn the nuances in your own time.

Once you get into a full-time job, it doesn’t mean that your learning has stopped. There are a lot of certifications you can find in the market which you need to equip yourself with to stay ahead of the curve. The certifications offered by some of the renowned institutions and top organizations are of great help.

You step in as a marketing professional and slowly become a marketing manager after you obtain relevant work experience.

Skill sets required to become a marketing manager

The skillset can generally be divided into two types, the first one being the educational skill set and the other relates to personality. Any job profile would check if you have the acumen for the role being offered. Similarly, there are certain skill sets required for a marketing manager and when the person is found hoarding those skills, they can make their way into this job position.

Professional Skill Set

Degrees in Management are offered both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in universities all across the globe. For instance, you are an engineering undergraduate which speaks for the fact that you are well aware of your branch of engineering. When you add a marketing post-graduation degree to your profile, you can apply for posts of marketing managers in some of the reputed engineering firms.

If you hold an undergraduate degree or a certificate course in marketing, then you can apply for the companies that work in FMCG, Retail and other such domains which don’t require complete expertise, but with due course of time, a person would grasp all the required knowledge and perform his best when it comes to the company’s demands.

Other Key Competent skills

You could have seen certain cases where a person would have performed much better without even having a degree, this is due to the key competent skills they possess. It is a fact not to be ignored that if you don’t possess these key competent skills, there is no point in having a degree in marketing. Some of the skills are listed below.

  • Analytical thinking

We are living in a world driven by data. The ones who possess analytical thinking can derive insightful information from raw data. This is one of the most preferred skills in marketing. Strong analytical thinking would help one to predict the future of the organization which can determine the success or failure of the organization. Marketing earlier used to be based on prediction and trial and error, but with the plethora of data available today, one can make a lot of insights out of this data.

Newspapers, radios have all become electronic with the advent of the internet. The traditional newspapers have become e-papers and the podcasts and other music player apps have become the new radio. With the change in the medium of the advertising, the creativity part of it alone remains the same. The manually drawn cartoons can be illustrated in digital form and some audio pieces can be added to it if it is going to be hosted on an application.

There is a lot of difference between working as a marketing manager in a startup environment and a Multinational corporation. The size of a startup is very small and the mission has several goals to accomplish. Every goal has to be accomplished by a different department in the company.

Those departments should be headed by a professional. For instance, an MNC might specialize in different products and services. The expertise in that particular field is made to serve in those roles so that they could deliver better results.

When you are working as a marketing professional in a startup, then you are expected to wear several hats.

The success of an organization is directly linked to the working capabilities of managing professionals. Especially, marketing generates sales and it is the prime duty of the marketing manager to generate leads that in turn lead to revenue generation.

But, these are some of the characteristics that every marketing manager must possess if they want to make strides in their career. A perfect combination of hard skills and soft skills is what makes a perfect manager. Instagram Hashtags For Photographers

Instagram Hashtags For Photographers

What are the best hashtags to use as a photographer and how can you grow your page engagement today?

Instagram_hashtags_for_photographers

When it comes to photography, one of the best social media platforms that appreciate this art form is Instagram. Because Instagram is a completely visual platform, it is one of the best ways to showcase your talent and reel in more audience. But, with the growing popularity of this platform and the tendency of regurgitation taking a backseat, photographers need to come up with more creative ways to make their content rank.

One of the easiest yet trickiest ways is to use hashtags. It doesn’t necessarily matter what form of photography you are into, you will likely come across something that suits your picture. But, choosing the correct Instagram hashtags for photographers can be a tough nut to crack. If you think that adding hashtags like “like for like” and “follow for follow” is going to help, well, it won’t.

Thus, we have curated a list of the top photography types and the kind of Instagram hashtags that can be used for them to garner better visibility on the platform. Read below to learn abotu the best Instagram hashtags for photographers.

How to choose the correct hashtag?

Before we talk about the actual hashtags that will drive more traction to your IG profile, we must break down the process of choosing the correct hashtags. To be honest, people tend to have misconceptions about the same.

When selecting a hashtag, much like keywords for SEO, you want to pick ones that have low competition but high search volume. What we mean to say is, it is always advisable to pick the hashtags that have around 100k posts. If you pick the generic keywords like “photography”, it is likely going to have millions of posts, so popping up on people’s feed can be tough.

On the contrary, when you do use the hashtags that have lesser posts under them and are unique, it makes it easier for your posts to get noticed.

So, while selecting a hashtag for your post, you need to ensure that you pick the ones that have lesser posts and are kind of unique.

Best Instagram hashtags for Photographers

Now that we know which kinds of hashtags to pick, it is time we share some of the best ones with you. For your convenience, we have categorised them based off the type of photography.

This will make it easier for you to scroll down and check out the one that you think suits your style the best.

The “Generic” ones

The first and the easiest ones that you need to know of are the generic photography hashtags. Remember that these are not suited for a specific category of photography, so you can use it randomly. The only catch here is to use them sparsely in your post.

If you are wondering why, it is because of their high competition rate.

Since they are so generic, likely, majority of the people who have no idea about proper Instagram marketing are using it. Ranking on these hashtags can be very tough. So, using these hashtags can help enhance your outreach and visibility but ensure to not just rely on them.

Use these sparingly all over the post and add more of the relevant hashtags along with it.

Some of the hashtags include:

  • #InstaGood
  • #JustGoShoot
  • #PhotoOfTheDay
  • #PhotoGram
  • #Photoshop
  • #InstaPhoto
  • #PicOfTheDay
  • #Capture
  • #PhotographyDaily
  • #PhotographyIsLife

The “Black and White” Ones

If you have been into the photography world, you likely know the value of a good Black and White picture. It is a quintessential add to every photographer’s portfolio. And, if you have a picture that you are proud of and you want it to reach more people, using correct hashtags is key.

Black and white pictures remind you of the simpler times in life. These monochrome pictures are something that people, still to this day, love and cherish. While some photographers base their entire portfolio in black and white, some like the kind of contrast these images bring. Regardless, some specific hashtags can come in handy for you.

Some of the hashtags include:

  • #Insta_BW
  • #bnw_captures
  • #Noir
  • #MonoArt
  • #bnw_universe
  • #bwstylesgf
  • #IGblacknwhite
  • #NoirStreetLife
  • #InstaBlackAndWhite
  • #Monochrome

The “Technical Photography” Ones

Technical photography posts are more for educating the newbie photographers who are just starting with professional equipments. With the number of angles and tools that photography packs in, it is quite common for people to be confused. Under the technical posts, you will most find people talking about their gadgets, the camera angle, the shutter speeds and all that good stuff.

This is one of the reasons why choosing the correct hashtags for technical photography is one of the hardest. There is nothing standard about it. You either have to rely on your skills that you have used in the pictures or select from some of the common hashtags that suit these kinds of pictures.

Some of the best hashtags include:

  • #Aperature
  • #LongExposure
  • #ManualFocus
  • #Macro
  • #RuleOfThirds
  • #Vignette
  • #50mm
  • #LightPhotography
  • #VSCO
  • #VSCOcam
  • #Snapseed
  • #Panorama
  • #DepthOfField
  • #GoldenRatio
  • #Bokeh

The “Nature and landscape” Ones

If there is a surplus in the field of photography, it is likely with the nature and landscape photographs. You will find an abundance of those on Instagram. This means that the competition in these kinds of hashtags is more. For this, you need to ensure that you use the hashtags strategically. These kinds of pictures capture the rare essence of a natural setting that will make people want to travel.

One of the reasons why nature and landscape shots do well on Instagram is because of once the user peruses them, they can’t seem to stop. People tend to continually scroll down for more which means that the chances of your picture getting noticed are quite high.

Some of the best hashtags include:

  • #NatureLover
  • #IGNatureCapture
  • #NaturePhotography
  • #NatureDaily
  • #NatureOfOurWorld
  • #IG_DivineShots
  • #earth_shotz
  • #Nature_Seekers
  • #NaturePic
  • #Visual_Heaven
  • #LandscapePhoto
  • #Dream_Spots
  • #NatGeoHub
  • #NatureIsArt

The “Portrait” Ones

As aesthetically pleasing portrait shots are, getting them noticed by the users can be a struggle. One of the most common mistakes that new photographers do is misuse the hashtags when it comes to portrait. Much like your niche specific nature and food photographs, even portraits have their own set of hashtags that you can use.

If you are inserting other irrelevant hashtags in them, it is likely not going to work. If your photo doesn’t reach to the target audience, it is not going to bring in any outreach. There are a select hashtags that work amazingly for portrait shots that you can try out.

  • #PortraitPerfection
  • #Portrait_Society

Things you should avoid doing using Instagram hashtags

When you are a photographer trying to gain visibility for your pictures on Instagram, it goes without saying that hashtags play a crucial role in this. In such cases, there are some important things that you need to avoid doing.

Some of them include:

  • Avoid using irrelevant hashtags as they don’t bring in recurring audience
  • Avoid using bigger hashtags which are very common as they have a lot of common posts and makes it harder for your picture to rank
  • Avoid stuffing tons of hashtags in all post instead of focusing on a good captain
  • Avoid putting the hashtag in the comments because that reduces the chances of visibility

Before you go

Instagram runs on hashtags. You must use relevant hashtags for your pictures because that is what brings the right audience to your page. It is easy for you to reach several people but if you don’t use it the right way, it is likely going to be in vain. You might gain 100 likes the first time but those are not your recurring audience. To grow on Instagram, you want people to follow you and become recurring audiences. That is what makes all the difference. And, the only way to make that happen is by using the correct hashtags. Remember to stay up to date and continue to run your own research to see what are the most beneficial hashtags for photographers in your industry.

Any hashtags you think we may have missed? Or do you have a certain niche you would like some hashtag ideas on?

What are the best travel hashtags to use and how can you grow your travel page engagement today?

best_travel_hashtags
Looking for hashtags to use on your travel account?
What are the best travel hashtags to help grow your page and have more chance of getting higher engagement?

One of the easiest ways to do this is inside the Instagram app itself.
Simply look at the accounts that are in your industry. That have a similar audience to what you would like to target.

Then just go through their posts to see what hashtags they use.

Another way is to look up a hashtag you would like to target such as #travel.

Rather than searching #travel, instead search for something like #melbournetravel which only has 24,901 results.

We’ve broken down below some of the best travel hashtags you could look to use for different travel niches.

However, please not it’s always important to do your own research and make them specific to your post. Include hashtags for the location, country, certain objects in the photos, etc. Don’t just copy and paste these hashtags and hope your Instagram will light up with new engagement.

Top 10 Ways To Make Money On Instagram

top_10_ways_to_make_money_on_instagram
Instagram is more than a social media platform today. You can use it not only to socialise with people but also to earn money. Yes, you read that right!

There is not one but many ways through which you can earn money on Instagram. Also, you don’t even need millions of followers to get started. If you want to know how then you are in the right place. In this post, we will reveal the secret of how to make money on Instagram. So without wasting any more time, let’s dive right into the details.

How to make money on Instagram?

Here are 10 of the proven ways through which you can earn a good income on the popular photo-sharing platform.

Affiliate marketing

Affiliate marketing is one of the best and the easiest way of earning money on the platform. You can promote the products and services of other companies and get a commission out of it when you make a sale.

Affiliate marketing is a good option for those who have a large number of followers on the platform. That’s because the more people you reach, the more chances you will make a sale.

Influencer marketing

influencer_marketing
Another great way to earn money is through influencer marketing. The work of an influencer is to promote the products for the brands they are working for.

Several studies have proved that people are more likely to trust a person they know than a brand. This is why big brands make use of popular bloggers and public figures to sell their products to the audience. In return, you get paid from the brand for promoting their products. The amount you receive is dependent on how big of an influencer you are.

Sell your own stuff

You can also sell your own stuff on Instagram. What you have to do is create your online business on the platform and start promoting your products and services.

You will come across many such small-scale businesses on Instagram. If you have a business website, you can post the link on the platform. If not, then you can upload pictures and various posts and use your Instagram account as your business profile. In this case, the more people you reach, the better it is for you.

Sell your photos

sell_your_photos
Instagram is a platform for showcasing photography skills. If you think you are a skilled photographer, then you can sell your photos on the platform and earn money. No, this is no joke! You can earn money by selling your own photos.

Instagram is a great platform to showcase the photos you have clicked. You can share it with brands and agencies who would be interested in your photos. To attract buyers, use a watermark on the snaps and also list all the buying details in the caption. With the help of appropriate hashtags, you can make your post viral. Once it catches the attention of any agency, you can sell your picture to them.

Sell your Instagram account

This may sound a little odd to you, but you can also make money by selling your own Instagram account. This option is very less popular but it can actually give you a good income. But the catch is you need to have an account with many followers. You at least need to have more than 50 thousand followers to be able to sell your account.

In this case, the more followers you have, the more money you will get for your account. However, this is a one-time way of warning money as growing an account is not an easy task.

Sell online courses

Online courses are really popular these days. If you want to earn some extra cash, then you must try selling online courses.

All you have to do is create a course in the field that you are an expert. After that, you can sell this course online to interested people. This is a very good way of earning money.

Sell Amazon products

sell_amazon_products
Another way of boosting your income is by selling Amazon products on the platform. You can take advantage of your Instagram account to sell some products that are available on Amazon

Amazon is a very popular online site for shopping. Therefore, it should be easy for you to get the attention of people in buying these products. All you have to do is promote your post as vigorously as you can so that it reaches to a maximum number of people.

Promote your own blog

If you are a blogger by profession, then you can expand your reach by promoting your own blog on Instagram. Most of the bloggers these days go this, so why not you?

This will not only help you popularise your blog site but also boost your overall income. The more you promote, the better it is for you.
.

Show your freelance services

Do you provide freelance services like writing, photography, editing, etc.? If yes, then you can use Instagram to promote your services. This will help you to get clients online. You need to showcase your work on the platform to attract good clients.

It can be a time-consuming way but totally worth it. It can get you good clients who are willing to pay a high amount for your service.

Teach people about Instagram marketing

If you have become an established influencer, then you can take advantage of this fact and teach others about Instagram marketing. It’s like selling an online course.

People who come forward to learn, you can ask them to pay. This way you can earn money by teaching others.
There are many ways through which you can earn a good amount of money from Instagram. All you need to do is build your account. Having a strong account can help your cause to a great extent. The more people you reach, the higher the chances to earn.
